Pit Mounts for Safety Guard Rail Systems
Wrap Over Edge Mounts: The wrap over the edge design gives these mounts extra strength. Because these mounts are below grade where they are mounted, they require a special rail to be able to meet OSHA standards of 42" in height. These mounts can be used when the vertical wall is poured concrete or cinder block, however, the top bolts must be anchored into poured concrete. The hardware for mounting and instructions are included.
Box Style Wrap Over Edge Mounts: The box style wrap over the edge mounts allow 2” of movement within the box. That makes installation much easier. Also, if the rails were to become bent over time, they can still fit into the mounts. However, if the structural integrity of the rails are compromised, they must be replaced immediately to adhere to OSHA standards. The wrap over the edge design gives these mounts extra strength. Flush Mounts: The flush mounts are mounted on the side wall of a pit or parapet wall. They are the least likely mounts to create a trip hazard. Because these mounts are mounted below grade they require a special rail to be able to meet OSHA standards of 42" in height. These mounts are designed for use on a poured concrete wall. The hardware for mounting and instructions are included.
